Hi Andy,

I stumbled on your blog and I'm glad I did. While reading some of your posts, it seems to me our minds operate in very similar fashion (albeit, yours on a much higher plane). I am very fond of learning; everything from math to investing to music. I've often wondered how I learn and how my own learning can be accelerated. I've found that perspective can be key in creating an accurate model in one's mind. Equations, fret boards, markets, processes are all domains and understanding comes from an accurate mental model.(IMHO) This understanding almost always leads me to the question of 'why'? That's a bit philosophical. :-)

Anyway, I'm very excited about your new book on learning. I intend to pick up a copy as soon as it's available.

Best Regards,

It's available now in Beta (as a PDF only), paperback will be out in the fall. I'm also speaking at a couple of venues, check toolshed.com for the latest.

Hi, Andy,

How very true. And it's so hard to break certain stereotypes sometimes.

Yours sincerely,

PS: funny that you've got 2 replies from 2 other Andre(y/w)s :-)

Do you have any recommendations for your friends who wanted you there, but had the event canceled from above? It would be great to hear a few words from your perspective on how to progress from Stage 0.

Absolutely agree...looking forward to your step 1 but because this thread needs more Andrews and because I recently expressed sentiments about transitioning to Agile approaches:

Hi Andy,

The real fun starts when a company at "Stage 0" decides to make Agile the new process: The Agile 800 Pounds Gorilla - http://littletutorials.com/2008/06/24/the-agile-800-pounds-gorilla/
The reality is this: in order to switch to Agile one has to already be Agile. In thinking!
