I’ve started playing around with creating a regular podcast.
You can subscribe at toolshed.com/podcasts.
There seems to be a bug in the new iTunes where you’ll have to use “Advanced/Subscribe to Podcast” in order to get it.
The first podcast was made in a hotel room using my cell phone headset; the second was made using a real microphone (a large diaphragm condenser with a tube pre-amp). There’s a little too much reverb on the second one, but I didn’t add it—that’s the natural room acoustics. I’ll try recording the next one in a slightly deader space.
The Fable of the Rising Young Manager is an excerpt from Johanna Rothman and Esther Derby’s new book, Behind Closed Doors: Secrets of Great Management. It’s sort of atypical; it’s the only fable in the book, and it appears as a sidebar. But it’s a nice, short standalone piece that makes for a good listen.
I’ll be featuring lengthier excerpts from the book as well as some previews of other upcoming books shortly.
